No doctor–patient relationship
Using this site does not create any professional relationship between you and TrainingCalcs or Abhishek Kumar. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription, a treatment plan or a recommendation to start, stop or change any medication, supplement or therapy. Only a professional who can examine you and read your history can do that.
In an emergency
Do not use this site to decide anything urgent. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, fainting, a suspected injury or any other medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to an emergency department now. If you feel unwell during exercise, stop and get help.
Results are estimates
- Calorie, energy-expenditure and body-composition figures come from population equations. Individual results commonly differ from the estimate, sometimes by a wide margin.
- Indexes built on body fat — FFMI above all — are only as accurate as the body-fat number you enter, which for most people is itself an estimate.
- Strength scores (DOTS, Wilks, IPF GL) compare performances. They say nothing about your health.
- Formulas are validated for the groups they were studied in. Results outside those ranges — at the limits of body weight, age or training status, or during pregnancy — are far less reliable, and some calculators refuse inputs outside the published range on purpose.
Talk to a professional first if any of these apply
See a doctor before acting on anything here — especially the calorie, supplement and fasting pages — if you:
- are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive;
- are under 18 or are an older adult starting something new;
- have kidney or liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or another metabolic condition;
- have or have had an eating disorder, or a difficult relationship with food;
- take prescription medication, in particular insulin or other glucose-lowering drugs, diuretics, blood-pressure drugs, or anything that must be taken with food;
- are recovering from illness, surgery or injury;
- have been told to follow a specific diet or to avoid certain exercise.
Supplements and medicines
The creatine calculator reports general dosing ranges for healthy adults from the International Society of Sports Nutrition position stand. It is not a prescription, it does not account for other supplements or medicines you take, and it is not advice for anyone with reduced kidney function. Supplements are regulated differently from medicines in most countries, quality varies between products, and interactions with prescription drugs are possible. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before adding any supplement, and never change a prescribed medication because of something you read here.
Pages that carry an extra warning
These calculators touch health decisions directly, so each shows a warning next to its result:
- VO2 Max Calculator — Estimate your VO2 max and see where it lands against measured reference values.
- Body Recomposition Calculator — Calories and protein to lose fat while building muscle.
- Creatine Calculator — Your loading and daily maintenance dose of creatine monohydrate.
- Intermittent Fasting Calculator — Your eating window and fasting hours for 16:8, 18:6, OMAD and more.
Sources and accuracy
Every formula names its published source on the page that uses it, and the maths is covered by automated tests against the worked examples in those sources. That makes the arithmetic reliable; it does not make the underlying formula right for you. Our editorial policy explains how sources are chosen, reviewed and corrected, and no medical professional reviews this site.
Report a problem
If a result looks wrong or unsafe, email support@trainingcalcs.com with the page and the numbers you entered. We check it against the source and fix it.
To the extent the law allows, TrainingCalcs accepts no liability for decisions taken on the basis of these estimates — see the terms of use.
